Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actor, singer and songwriter. She was raised by her mom in the USA. Her childhood was filled with racist taunts and felt unloved. After she participated in a school competition and received high praise for her singing when she was in the ninth grade the young girl started to gain confidence. The singer not only gained confidence because of the experience however, she also re-evaluate her the direction of her career. In 1992, she earned her degree from New York's Julliard School. As she was turning 23 years old, she launched her professional career in Broadway in the Paul Simon musical The Capeman. Then, when she was 23 she made her film debut in You've got mail. The part in The Lad of The Lake became her greatest success, and earned her an award called the Tony Award in addition to critical acclaim for her performance. The following year, she appeared as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC, she gained greater fame. A singer by profession She has also recorded a single as well as an extensive work. She is also an activist and works extensively for LGBT rights.
